Hello Everyone,
With just one day, twelve hours and thirty minutes until the start of first session, I thought I would do a quick blog update… y’know, with all of my spare time ;)
I should begin with the 2013 staff, as it is once again second to none. I know that I probably say that every summer, but it never ceases to amaze me how they just keep getting better and better. Lisa and I have owned Chippewa for going on nine summers now, and when I look at this outstanding group of young adults (most of whom grew up here), I can’t help but to take pride in their fruition of strength. We have an incredible admin team and we are very proud of their organization, leadership, loyalty and enthusiasm. They must be pretty good if I have time to write this blog during critical hours leading up to opening day!
I would also like to take a moment to thank our campers and their parents for choosing Chippewa for this summer. We know that there are many great options out there, and it is with great pride that Lisa and I welcome your daughter into our (and her) home away from home. Chippewa is truly magical, and the source of that magic is absolutely derived from the people that experience it. I truly believe that there is no other program in the world that can compare to the summer camp experience, and those who are lucky enough to participate will undoubtedly be changed forever; their lives transformed through experiential learning and community living; through friendship building and value based growth.
At Chippewa our mission is to create a safe, healthy and unplugged environment where girls can be themselves; where hands can get a little dirty; where grass stains are fashionable and where makeup is not. Where life lessons are sometimes taught by the students and learned by the teachers; where nobody is perfect in everyway, but everybody is perfect in some way.
Hold on to your hats.
All best,
Cliff
