Bus Information

On June 21st and on July 18th, busses will depart from Northbrook, IL at staggered times as listed below. We will once again be using Coach USA as our first class transportation company. Their busses are equipped with bathrooms, comfortable seats, movie screens, air conditioning and HEPA air filters.

Screening- Prior to boarding their designated bus, campers will likely have their temperatures checked, and will be asked a series of standard health status questions.

Check In- Families should pull into the Northbrook Court parking lot (1515 Lake Cook Road, Northbrook, IL) and proceed to the Neiman Marcus area. Signs, cones and yellow shirted bus crew members will guide vehicles along to the drop-off spot.

PARENTS AND OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS SHOULD REMAIN IN THEIR VEHICLES

Campers will be dropped off and guided to the check in station where they will be given a name tag, bus designation and seat assignment. If a vehicle contains authorized baggage or items for under the bus, a Chippewa team member will ask for the trunk or cargo door to be opened, and he or she will remove the items and load them onto the bus. Parents should NOT leave their vehicle even for this purpose. Campers will immediately board the bus and take their seats. The departure process will be much quicker than in the past.

WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO WAIT FOR LATE ARRIVALS. ALTERNATIVE TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS WILL NEED TO BE MADE

Masks- Campers will need to wear their masks during the ride to camp regardless of their vaccination status or previous infection status.

Snacks & Lunch- Please pack your camper with a NUT FREE lunch and some NUT FREE snacks for her ride to camp. For snacking, campers can lift their masks to eat and then pull them down between bites and sips. For lunch, campers will eat in pods with their masks off, during which time all other campers on the bus will keep their masks on.

Motion Sickness Concerns- If you believe that your child may experience motion sickness during the ride, please consider giving her a proper preventative prior to drop-off.

Activities For The Bus- Movies will be shown, and onboard staff will go the extra mile to make the ride up to camp fun for the campers, but we also suggest that she bring some activities to keep her entertained (books, Mad Libs, magazines, screenless music players, games, etc…)

AS A REMINDER NO SCREENS ARE ALLOWED AT CAMP. THIS INCLUDES THE BUS RIDE
