Our crew
The Chippewa Staff is comprised of Senior counselors (ages 19 and older), Junior counselors (ages 17 and 18), C.I.T.s (16 year olds), two registered nurses, a camp maintenance staff, a kitchen staff and a male staff consisting of approximately 8 young men in their early to late 20's who run various activities throughout the summer.
Many of our staff members have spent years at Chippewa, first coming as campers and now returning as staff. Each summer, about 80 percent+ of our staff return to Chippewa for the new season. We are so proud to see the importance that Chippewa has played in our staffers lives, and their return shows their devotion to this special place.
Every summer, we also hire staff from all over the world. Staff members come from New Zealand , Australia , Mexico , England , Russia , and more! Our American staff is from all over the country, and come to us with many talents and endless enthusiasm.
