FAQs
What are the cabins like? Chippewa cabins are just right...a little rustic, a lot comfortable. Campers under 13 live in buildings with two or three cabins all in one, with each cabin separated by large bathrooms with showers. Girls over 13 live in single cabins, each with their own bathrooms and showers as well. Each cabin has electricity, lights, windows with screens, bunkbeds and/or single beds, dressers and cubbies, so there's plenty of space to store, live and play. The counselors have their own separate living quarters within each cabin.
FAQs
How often can I take one activity such as riding? When you sign up for activities, you may choose to take the same activity one period every day instead of every other day if you wish. So, if you take riding every day and swimming every day (swimming is a daily requirement at Chippewa), that would leave you three other activities each day. What is a typical day at Chippewa? A typical day goes something like this: - Famous goofy wake-up call by Thomas C.

FAQs
How's the food?
It's good! We serve lots of pasta, soups, grilled cheese, burgers,
hot dogs, mac and cheese, baked potato bar, taco bar, a salad bar at
every lunch and dinner (a really good one), and veggie substitutes for
each meat dish. Breakfast is always cold cereal, fruit, and a warm dish
such as bagels and cream cheese, oatmeal, or pancakes. We also have
great deserts and candy canteen lots of nights a week :-)
FAQs
What do I do if I get homesick?
That's what your counselors and directors are for. Any time a
camper needs to talk about any personal problems, that's what Lisa,
Cliff and your counselors are there for. You are welcome to come to any
of us whenever you need to, and it's always kept between us.
Can I receive phone calls and emails?
Only on birthdays and anniversaries, or of course if there is an emergency.
FAQs
Is there a dress code?
Nope! We wear our Chippewa T-shirts on picture day, but the rest of the
time it's up to you. We don't care about makeup, nails, or things like
that: IT'S CAMP ! (Though ya do have to brush your teeth and shower!)
For more ideas on what to bring to camp, see our clothing & equipment list .
