A Little Update...
July 30, 2009

Dear Chippewa Parent,
I hope all is well. Lets just say that we’re fighting the rainy day blues on what seems to be a daily basis. The staff around here rock! They do a great job of keeping the girls busy and engulfed in great programming and fun activities whatever the weather! Today we managed to get most of our activities in despite someone flipping the rain switch on and off. What can I say? Camp has been outstanding and the girls are having an absolute blast!

It really is hard to believe that we’re in our 6th week. My life around here is like that of a cowboy- I’m constantly trying to lasso time and slow this camp horse down! I look at the date and am literally surprised with the number on a daily basis. As sad as time’s passing is around here, we really are looking forward to the rest of the summer. There are so many great programs and activities ahead! Below I have outlined a little of what was and a little more of what’s to come. Enjoy the update and stay tuned for loads of pictures and tons of great letters from your pride and joy!

Last Thursday we had a Menominee social. Friday was a campfire hosted by Boots, Cactus and Horseshoe. Saturday was a Horseshoe social and Sunday we did the all camp trip to Minocqua. Monday night was Tan & White Skit Night, Tuesday night we ran Big & Little Sister Night. Last night was both all-camp Capture the Flag AND our late night game - Stalk the Lantern. Tonight is a SECRET!

Friday brings a Camp Horseshoe mixed doubles tennis tournament and the evening will come with another great campfire. Saturday night we will be doing Tan & White activity and Sunday is the ever-famous Song Fest Show! Stay tuned for pictures. Monday is a GIGANTIC carnival put on primarily by our new staff and Tuesday is another Tan & White Game. There is more action than we know what to do with around here!

As the summer continues on we will keep you posted on all that is to come! Stay tuned and I look forward to talking soon.
All best,
Cliff
